Capped Version of the Hades Week: 1. Boss moves to a new state 2. Boss's ex-girlfriend becomes hysterical, calls me a ton, says she is going to kill herself. 3. Called police on former boss's ex girlfriend. 4. Interview to be manager of a hotel 5. Become interim manager (i.e. being used to do Area Director's job) 6. Ex boss's ex-girlfriend calls me non stop and begs me to tell her what happened. 7. At the hotel, guest throws up in a room, up hooks the phone, and friends are worried he died- making me go to the room, only to find the guy sleeping (stark naked) 8. A room at the hotel gets a major leak, needing big repairs- then Area Director (AD) gets mad at me for having a room inoperable. 9.Missed 2 of my chiropractic appointments (in other words- major pain) 10. Sent an email in haste telling AD that he was lazy- having a Front Desk Agent do his job while he was waiting for his canidate in shining armour. 11. Felt super guilty about former email, so sent another apologizing, but still sticking to my guns- AD sent an email back stating "I understand" and then he went on to tell me I am not doing a good job 12. Housekeeper didn't change sheets in a stay-over room- which had poo on it. Guest was super mad 13. Another housekeeper walked out on me 14. My new business pants lost two inches in length when I washed them. In other words, I now have rather stylish high-waters. 15. First day managing hotel (all by myself) AD informed me 1/2 hour before P&L Critique was due (knowing aforehand, I didn't know how to do it.)
I think that is enough capping. (I really should be careful about how much I whine)
Plus, Jon, you've never made my day like it were from Hades. Sorry to crush your dreams!
