Snap, Crackle...Pop
Most of you know that Adriane and I were in a little accident about nine days ago. Well, as a result of that little bump to my car, Adriane and I have contracted whiplash. This, like a cold, plagues a pour soul until it has run its course. Sometimes, if the case is harsh enough…like the olden day whopping-cough, whiplash can cause great tribulation the rest of one’s life. Where the cold can be remedied through the application of various medicines, whiplash can be treated with sessions of chiropractic treatment. Hence, Adriane and I have and will be frequenting him quite often.
With that in mind I thought to share a few of my ‘favorite’ things about the trips to the chiro…
1. The security one has while on the chiropractic bench even when leaning off the edge while the chiropractor is trying to get the leg and hip to realign.
2. Spending five minutes in confusion while both the chiropractor and oneself try to get the reflexes to work…even the slightest bit.
3. The uncanny ability to get a person to laugh from tickling…even if that person had not laughed from that practice for multiple years.
4. Being able to rest so peacefully while your head is securely placed in the head rest.
5. Having two lovely ovular shapes on your forehead after getting out of the position of number three.
6. Being able to go through an ultrasound before there is even the slightest possibility of pregnancy.
7. Once the session of number five is over, getting up and falling over. Then walking to the car whilst your roommate mocks you for your inebriated-like state.
8. The rest of the day hearing bones and cartilage and vertebrae snapping, cracking, and popping… and feeling absolutely sore from the experience.
9. Then during the day or so in between appointments, wishing fervently for the time to come so that you can feel better and be slightly more nimble than the cardboard cutout agility.
Despite what you may conclude from my list, the chiro. is amazing and extremely helpful.
