points of views are very interesting.
they are helpful to know.
they can be offensive.
they can be enriching.
propaganda is using media to try to persuade others to a specific point of view. once, while researching information for a historiagraphy paper about anti-semitism in post world war two in the Middle East, i came across this.
i thought i'd share.
first: use this address- http://www.islamicity.com/IslamiTV/
2nd: under "Main Categories" (left hand column) select "Original Shows"
3rd: toward the bottom of the left column "Sub Categories" will appear, select "Comical Views"
4th: watch and listen to the two about Bush. (you can watch the other two if you'd like...)
then, let me know what you think. and if you haven't watched 'em, don't read the comments until you do.

I didn't even watch all of either of them. I'm pretty good about listening to something I don't agree with if it's actually witty or sensible, but this wasn't even funny! Bo-ring!
yeah, i know. but the thing is that islamicity.com for Muslims is like cnn.com for America
Um... my computer is broken and won't play them ):
I hope your eyes get better soon!
Well, for someone who has dealt with 2 of the closest and most debated elections in US history, both national and international terror attacks, hosting the olympics, experiencing and recovering from economic depression, fallouts from FBI misinformation, engaging in ongoing war overseas, 2 devestating hurricanes, and 2 highly debated appointments to the supreme court, I'd say the man has had a very rough six years. He may have his faults, he may have his weaknesses, but at least he has faith in God, tries to make the world a better place, and has the courage to stick to what he believes in. Part of me pities him, part of me wonders about what could have been done better, part of me wonders where the world is going, and part of me is very glad that the man forced to deal with these issues was not the same type of man as the one who two years earlier was willing to lie to his own people under his own judicial system to save face. Of course, Clinton has his strong points too, but he has been less than admirable in other areas. Whatever anyone may or may not say about Pres. Bush, he certainly cares about his country, all the people in it (regardless of race/beliefs), and sticks to his plan of what he thinks is right.
Oh, and I for one am glad that he's been the one in place to deal with all of this. Given the options, he's probably one of the best that could have been there.
Maria, where are you?
she can't see right now...thus typing is a problem. But glasses are on the way (the optical shop messed up the last ones), so hopefully we will also have another blog as well.
