The night of July 2nd.

Adriane spent quality time with Robert...

so the fireworks from the stadium of fire were alright. it was fun to get together with a group of people (wardies and old wardies) and watch the sky light up in brilliant displays of color from the side of the mountain. the drive back was something else.

ryan was driving the black beauty. i was in the front passenger seat. chad, chenoa, and paige were in the back. we made it to the east side of the temple in approx. 15-20 minutes from the mountain side. then chad and chenoa decided to walk home. we all knew that they would beat us back. five minutes later ryan said that someone ought to be directing traffic. a couple minutes later, flashlight in hand, clad in dark jeans, a black shirt, and pink sandles, i was standing in the middle of a intersection. i waved cars forward and signaled stop. it was weird. most cars did exactly what i bade them to do. there were a few nimcompoops though. one car- full of college aged guys- asked me if i was a cop. i answered honestly. they told me that i was slowing traffic down and that they were going to call the cops on me.
i smiled and told them to go ahead and do just that.

we got back to the villa an hour later. yeah for after fireworks traffic. i got to practice what could become a talent. (tee hee)

and that is the summation of my night. the end. by me.

Hahaha, is it funny that while you were doing that, Adriane, Jon, and I were joking about volunteers directing traffic to sort out that mess? Too bad we took a different route.

Haha! I can just see you telling Ryan to pull over and then walking gracefully into the middle of the street to direct traffic. My car was joking about using the bright orange flags to wave people through. A flashlight was way smarter. I only love.

Maria!!! I am so proud. I wish I had car directing skills...But hey, I DO have an amazing florescent orange poncho. That's a start!

Corey and I were stuck on one street for over an hour. Then we got to turn on another busy street. Where were you in front of our car Maria!

Have I mentioned lately how much I totally love you?
Sorry I didn't make it by the other night, but what are you doing tomorrow (Friday)? We should play and swap stories.
Oh, how I miss the good Villa people.
